CQR: threat mitigation from South Australia to the United Kingdom

Information security is one of society’s greatest concerns. CQR works to ensure businesses, associations and governments are well-equipped to understand information security and mitigate risk.

CQR is a proud South Australian business. From their first office in Adelaide 2004 the company has grown exponentially to the US and the UK. It is now a world-class and proudly independent provider of information security services. Adelaide remains the global headquarters, as the most advanced environment for start-ups in Australia it is also ideally located to service the growing technology markets of South east Asia, China, India and Japan.

Founder and Executive Director of CQR, Greg Inge, also a member of the South Australia Club’s London Chapter, is a proud South Australian and successful businessman. Greg first discovered the Office of the Agent General via an interaction on Twitter. This prompted Greg to contact the office and associate our two organisations, connecting our mutual South Australian interests.

CQR’s mission is to make the world a safer place. The company exists to ensure their clients’ businesses and people are protected so they can thrive in a competitive environment. Equipped with a range of certifications, their services operate under three main categories: governance, risk and compliance, technical assurance and training and awareness.

Technology businesses are at the heart of the UK economy. With four of the world’s top ten universities and educational providers plus a ranking as the fifth best place in the world in the Global Innovation Index in 2016, the UK was the next step for CQR.

Greg continued, “CQR have been focussed on organically growing its UK business since 2012 and wish to establish ourselves as a pre-eminent brand in cyber security services in Oxfordshire. We now employ more than 20 staff and revenue growing beyond £2m in turnover.”

“Our success has been recognised with CQR being a finalist in both the 2018 Oxfordshire Business Awards and West Oxfordshire Business Awards in the Small Business of the Year category.”

“Being located in Oxfordshire as a science and technology hub provides many benefits to us, such as access to commercial business, networking opportunities and access to like-minded professionals and academics. Oxfordshire is an exciting place to be in the cyber security business with world leading research expertise such as Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre on our doorstep.”
